Simulation of Rotor Core and Shaft Assembly of e-Motor
Intro
Below is an example of a rotor assembly that is going to be used for the analysis.
On the following picture is a symmetric model. At the end of the rotor core is a special tool for packing the rotor lamination sheets.
First the rotor lamination sheets are formed into a package with the application of a force F=Fd. The rotor pack is heated to specific value, Th., and then shaft is inserted without significant force. The rotor pack+shaft configuration is cooled down and the interference fit is acting upon the mating parts. At the end the force F=Fd is removed.
